The traxxas system works great tons of tire speed but needs a low gear for crawling so it should work for you I've seen where people are using the traxxas rod ends in pack number 5347 with 12 rod ends in it, and having to order 2 pack to do the entire suspension and steering I run the 2 speed with the high blue gear set and in first it is lower geared than stock and crawls great than second rips way faster probably 13ish mph.
